Ferðatímaritið Condé Nast birti á dögunum grein sem ber yfirskriftina “The Best Things to Do in Iceland: Our Definitive List” – en eins og titillinn gefur til kynna fjallar greinin um það besta sem í boði er fyrir ferðalanga á Íslandi.
Á listanum er að finna meðal annars heimsókn á Síldarminjasafn Íslands á Siglufirði.
Að mati greinarhöfundar var heimsókn á safnið meðal þess áhugaverðasta og fróðlegasta sem hún upplifði á ferð sinni um landið.
Tímaritið er afar virt og hefur verið gefið út frá árinu 1987. Condé Nast hefur unnið tuttugu og fimm verðlaun á heimsvísu og því mikill heiður fyrir Síldarminjasafnið að fá svo góða umfjöllun í blaðinu.
